Fifty years after the first Brighton ‘Gay Pride March’ in the city, Brighton & Hove Pride defied the wind, rain and travel disruptions to return for another spectacular year and a weekend packed full of campaigning, protest and partying in equal measure. After what has been a challenging year, it was a fantastic celebration with members of the LGBTQ+ community and allies across the city coming together for a safe and happy Pride.

Pride Glasgow, Scotland’s largest celebration of LGBT+ equality will be headlined this year by international superstar Melanie C. The weekend festival which takes place on Friday, July 14 and Saturday, July 15 attracted over 18,000 people in 2017. The 2018 festival moves from Glasgow Green to the iconic Kelvingrove Park, taking place in July rather than August due to other planned events in Glasgow this year.
Now in its 25th year, organisers estimate 3,000 people paraded through the city centre with thousands more lining the streets to watch. Participants included local businesses, corporate companies, statutory service providers and a float from Coronation Street.
