This October half term (Saturday, October 22 – Sunday, October 30), the Postal Museum in London is launching a range of activities inspired by Freddie Mercury’s childhood stamp album, his musical legacy and the recent issue of Royal Mail postage stamps celebrating Pride 50, which explore the history of British Pride and the diversity of the LGBTQ+ community.
Along with performances from Todrick Hall, Bimini and Jodie Harsh, attendees will be able to enjoy a set from singer/songwriter Katy B and BBC Radio 1 DJ Dean McCullough who will get the Launch Party underway!
Melanie C, Louise, Joe McElderry and a taste of Ibiza are all part of the stunning line up of top class entertainment unveiled for UK Pride 2022, which is set to take place at Newcastle’s Town Moor from 22 – 24 July.

UK Pride 2020 to be launched in Newcastle
Two of the UK’s top club nights, Sink the Pink and Jonny Bongo, will team up next summer to kick off UK Pride 2020 in the North East, set to take place from July 17-19 and hosted by LGBTQ+ charity Northern Pride.
This year, the Isle of Wight hosted the annual UK Pride extravaganza, beating off competitors from cities and towns across the country. During one of the hottest summers on record, organisers worked hard to transform the seaside town of Ryde, stage the huge Pride parade, create the biggest Pride flag ever and host a 15,000 strong party on the beach.
Miss Jason will lift up her skirts to host exclusive trips to todays Isle of Wight Pride On the Beach with Hovertravel. Iconic drag persona Miss Jason will meet, greet and entertain hovercraft passengers travelling to this unique event located on Ryde beach on the Isle of Wight, which this year is also the national UK PRIDE.
Ben Bradshaw, the Labour MP for Exeter, backs Exeter Pride in its bid to host UK Pride 2018. Exeter Pride committee, the group which organises the annual celebration of the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT+) communities in the county of Devon, is one of the six Pride organisations bidding to stage UK Pride 2018.
Shoppers in Hull see the latest addition to Humberside Fire and Rescue Service’s (HFRS) fleet roll into Queen Victoria Square emblazoned in rainbow colours. The new fire engine, which will be based at the city’s Calvert Lane fire station, is the result of a close working relationship between the fire service and the organisers of Pride in Hull, which has been named the first ever ‘UK Pride’ and coincides with the city’s reign as UK City of Culture 2017.
