Brighton & Hove City Council has launched a consultation on the development of Family Hubs which it says are set to help improve the lives of children and families throughout the city. The council was one of only seven local authorities in the country to be given up to £1 million government funding to set up the hubs to better integrate services for children of all ages and their families.
This new service is available in Sussex for young people & parents/carers of young people who are trans, aged 11-17 (year 7+) and on the waiting list or being seen by the Gender Identity Development Service
The council says A Fairer Brighton & Hove framework has been developed after it consulted families, community groups and professionals to ask their views on how it can best support families and children at risk of disadvantage
