Comedian Jane Postlethwaite will run two Comedy Workshops for women at the Caroline of Brunswick in July. The first on Saturday July 15 from 12 – 4pm is a workshop for women exploring how to create and write comedy characters. Learn how to mine for comedy material and put together a unique character. You can work on something you have already created or try out some new ideas.
For the second year running, a group of Brighton’s finest comediennes will come together to make the public laugh and to raise money and awareness for the Survivor’s Network on International Women’s Day.
The Bad Book Project is a free monthly night in Brighton that involves really funny people reading from very bad books.
A hugely enjoyable and quirky show that highlights the inventiveness of Jane Postlethwaite and allows her crepuscular comical Northern charm to shine though and throw some serious shadows.
