BBC director in general, Tim Davie, responded to backlash after new company rulings declared staff should not attend LGBTQ+ Pride events on the basis of its ‘impartial stance’.
BBC staff have been told they are no longer allowed to attend LGBTQ+ events such as Pride marches on the basis of the broadcaster’s ‘no bias’ rule.
