Brighton Pride smash all previous records raising £250,000 for good causes in Brighton & Hove during Pride 2018.
Community groups across Brighton and Hove will put a little bit of pride back into their city thanks to grants worth nearly £20,000 from the Pride Social Impact Fund (SIF).
Brighton & Hove Pride raise a magnificent £147,263.74 for good causes at Pride 2017. This record amount will be distributed as grants by the Rainbow Fund, the Pride Social Impact Fund and the new Pride Community Fund.
For one weekend every year, the city is taken over by a sea of rainbows. From the parade watched by tens of thousands through to the festival in Preston Park to the street party in St James’ Street, the whole city comes together to mark the LGBT celebration that is Brighton Pride, the largest annual event in the city’s calendar.
Brighton Pride exceed their fundraising target for Pride 2016, raising £100,000 for local good causes, bringing the total raised by Pride over the past four years to over £310.000.
