Inaugural AMEX Brighton & Hove LGBTQ+ Community Summit
American Express one of the city’s largest employers installs giant Rainbow flag at its John Street, Brighton office, ahead of this weekend’s Brighton & Hove Pride. This year marks five years of Amex support of Brighton Pride and the tenth year of Amex colleague participation in the Community Pride Parade.
This year the Pride Community Village, supported by American Express, has grown in to a brand new enhanced area, becoming a hub for our charities and community groups. Open from 12.30pm until 7pm on Pride Saturday (August 4), the Village will host the Family Diversity Area, the Trans Tent, the Well Being Tent with yoga and massage.
American Express continues its partnership with Brighton & Hove Pride by supporting the 2018 Community Village. The Community Village will give local charities and community groups an opportunity to meet festival goers, display the work they do to support and advance LGBT+ causes.
American Express employees hit the streets to help promote diversity in the run up to this year’s Brighton and Hove Pride. Amex merchants across the city, (including shops, cafés, restaurants, bars and small independent businesses) are being asked to display a specially designed ‘Proud to celebrate diversity’ sticker (a rainbow coloured thumbprint) in doors, windows and at till points, in a show of support for Brighton and Hove’s diverse and inclusive LGBT+ communities.

American Express, the City’s largest private sector employer, will be the Leading Partner of Brighton Pride Weekend, which will take place from August 5-7, 2016. The awarding winning Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT) community event has become the UK’s biggest Pride festival with 290,000 people across the city participating in the celebrations last year.
American Express, the City’s largest private sector employer, has become the Gold Partner of Brighton Pride 2015, which will take place on the weekend of August 1-2, 2015. The Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT) community event has become the UK’s biggest Pride festival. It is a spectacular showcase of Brighton’s diverse communities and this year is marking its 25th anniversary in the city and is expected to attract huge numbers of participants and spectators from across Sussex.
