Local HIV charity Lunch Positive launches new HIV Warm Hub Tuesday

October 29, 2022

Thanks to funding from the Brighton Rainbow Fund, HIV charity Lunch PositiveĀ has launched a new support session every week, helping people cope with the pressures of winter and the cost of living crisis.

This means a new regular weekly session happening every Tuesday at Dorset Gardens Methodist Church, Brighton. Open from 11am until 3pm, the Tuesday HIV Warm Hub will be a place for people living with HIV to come along and spend time in a warm and welcoming community safe space, get a healthy meal, and access a range of additional support.

There will be access to computers and support using these if needed, access to support from specialist workers with benefits and wellbeing, food bank, takeaway hot food and groceries. The space is a place for peer-support and as always the volunteer team will be central to making people feel welcome, settle in and included.

Open to all people with HIV, this extra day at Lunch Positive is aimed to support those whose circumstances mean that winter and the damaging cost of living risk making them newly or more vulnerable.

If you would like yo come along or volunteer at the Tuesday HIV Warm Hub, contact Jim at Lunch Positive: jim@lunchpositive.org / 07846 464384.
