As part of the events to commemorate World AIDS Day on Thursday, December 1, Brighton & Hove’s LGBTQ+ choirs invite you to join them and the local community for a concert that is being staged to raise funds for local HIV charity Lunch Positive.

Hullabaloo Quire, one of Brighton’s longest established community choirs, will celebrate its 20th anniversary on Friday, December 7 and Saturday, December 8.
Brighton’s favourite ukulele band rocks up at the Latest Music Bar on Sunday, December 16 with a festive feast of mashups and mayhem. Banish those winter blues with some Hawaiian hilarity, seasonal silliness, special guests and songs old and new!
World AIDS Day Charity Concert – Together We Stand raises over £3,000 for Lunch Positive, the HIV lunch club. The Church of St Mary the Virgin in Kemptown was, once again, the venue for the sell-out annual World AIDS Day concert which brings together LGBT+ music groups from Brighton and the surrounding area, for one of the premier events in the city’s LGBT+ community calendar.
As part of the B RIGHT ON LGBT Festival celebrating LGBT History Month, the Brighton & Hove LGBT Community Safety Forum (B&H LGBT CSF) are holding a Family Fun Day for children on Saturday, February 18.
This years World AIDS Day charity concert was a complete sell out leaving many people who turned up to buy tickets on the door, disappointed. Remember next year to buy your tickets in advance because the audience for this wonderful event will only continue to grow larger each year.
There will be no tickets available on the door for this years World Aids Day Concert at St Mary’s Church, Kemptown which has now sold out.
The organisers of the Women’s Performance Tent at Brighton Pride, will be organising a Pride Eve night of live music and laughs celebrating the life of Sheila McWattie. Sheila, the much loved Brighton based journalist, community activist and passionate supporter of the Brighton Women’s Centre, died in February this year. SheilaFest will feature Greymatter, Nicky Mitchell, Qukulele, Al Start Band, DJ Lonesome with more acts to be confirmed.
