Former Wales rugby captain Gareth Thomas, who revealed he’s living with HIV in September, has been announced as a commissioner on the first ever HIV Commission, which was set up by Terrence Higgins Trust (THT) and NAT (National AIDS Trust) to develop independent recommendations towards ending all new HIV transmissions in England by 2030.

Thomas suffered facial injuries following an attack by a 16 year old in The Hayes area of the city at around 9pm following Wales’ 74 – 24 win over Tonga earlier in the day.
