Pride does it doggy style today!

Pride Doggy Show

Waggytailz will be presenting a special ‘high camp’ doggy fashion show at the popular Doggy Pride event today, Sunday, July 28 from 11am. Expect plenty of doggy glamour, fun and surprises when the furry models strut their stuff on the catwalk.

Doggy Pride is one of the most popular Pride events staged in the city and this year it take place at Hove RFC on the Old Shoreham Road.

Online/advance registration has now closed but dog owners are welcome to turn up with their furry friend on the day and register onsite from 11am.

Registration fees on the day are as follows:
ÂŁ3.00 – First entry
ÂŁ5.00 – To enter two categories
ÂŁ7.50 – To enter three categories
ÂŁ10.00 – To enter four categories

There will be 23 classes on the day with pedigree classes including AV Puppy, AV Toy Dog, AV Terriers and much more judged by Alicia Pennington of Crufts fame.

Novelty classes including – Best Waggiest Tail, Most Handsome Dog and Prettiest Bitch as well as Best Rescue Dog and Best Fancy Dress among others are always very popular and this year will be judged by local entertainer, The Drag With No Name.

All entries will receive a goody bag and there are prizes for the winners.

There is so much to see and do at this dog lovers day out including doggy stalls, doggy fashion and representatives from such amazing charities as The Dogs Trust, Greyhound Gap and Brighton & Hove District Guide Dogs For The Blind UK.

The event’s main sponsor is Coastway Veterinary Group whose support has made the event possible.

All monies raised go to Brighton Pride for distribution to LGBT/HIV organisations in Brighton & Hove, by The Rainbow Fund through their grants programme which is independently administered by the Sussex Community Foundation.

Registration costs ÂŁ3.00 per class and will be taken from 11.30am.
