IN PICTURES: Burning the Clocks 2022

Graham Robson December 22, 2022

After two years of Covid cancellations, the much-loved community event Burning the Clocks returned to Brighton last night (Wednesday, December 21), bringing around 25,000 people together to watch a procession of lanterns parade and ceremonially burn on the seafront, before a fireworks show.

Luckily the weather held out for the event, which is organised by community-led arts charity Same Sky. The unique cultural event, which celebrates the Winter Solstice, returned this year with the theme Wild, focusing on the untamed aspects of nature, winter, and the ever-changing elements of our world.
