Birmingham Pride opens round two of community funds

Catherine Muxworthy May 23, 2022

Birmingham Pride’s community funds are “open to LGBTQIA+ community groups delivering services/projects within the area of the West Midlands Combined Authority i.e. Birmingham, Coventry, Dudley, Sandwell, Solihull, Walsall and Wolverhampton

Community groups can apply for a specific amount of money, and should clearly state what they hope to achieve with the grant if they are awarded the money.

The community funds aim to prioritise any groups with the LGBTQ+ community which are providing services for or support sections of the community, particularly those that are often underrepresented, such as groups under the age of 26 or aged 55 and over, those with disabilities including mental health and neurodivergence, people affected by homelessness, refugees, and members of trans and non-binary communities.

The deadline for this second round of funds is June 27, and more information on the guidelines, plus the application form can be found on their website. If you miss this deadline, there will be another round of funding in August, however Birmingham Pride don’t recommend waiting, if possible, as the August round may be over-subscribed.
