R-Bar announces first ever QUEER RUM FESTIVAL

Graham Robson March 21, 2024

Brighton’s famous LGBTQ+ hotspot R-Bar has announced its first ever QUEER RUM FESTIVAL for 2024 will launch on Good Friday (March 29) and run until April 15.

Rum enthusiasts can enjoy over 40 different rums, plus exclusive rum-based cocktails and shooters, and pop-up tasting sessions. Customers can purchase a Rum Taster Ticket for £15, which includes three signature rum serves from R-Bar’s mix & match menu, plus a goody bag of rum merch.

The highlight of the festival is on Saturday, April 6 at 3.30pm, with the Kraken Cocktail Experience. This exclusive 90-minute session includes a guided mixology session for two signature cocktails, learning all about rum, tasting the Kraken range, and a free Kraken hoodie to take home.

George Mills, General Manager, said: “I am so excited to be launching R-Bar’s first ever Rum Festival. We’re seeing an increased demand for rum, and the category is in huge growth, so this event truly has been driven by our customer’s taste buds! We’ve also noticed that people are more conscious of their alcohol consumption lately, so we will be offering a range of alcohol-free spirits too.

“As we are well-known for our happy hour offer, rum fans will be pleased to hear that the majority of the 40 rums are included, and can be tried for half price until 8pm every day of the festival!”

R-Bar is situated on Brighton seafront, opposite the Palace Pier at 5-7 Marine Parade, BN2 1TA. It’s open from 3pm every day, with free entry throughout.
