REVIEW: Games – Harry Potter Lex-Go! Word Game

December 20, 2019

Harry Potter Lex-Go! Word Game

If you’re not familiar with this quick fire and easy to understand game LEX-Go  The aim of the game is to race against other players to get rid of all your playing card tiles by creating words, swapping letters and  attacking other players’ words. This is part of their new ‘icon’ range – the Harry Potter edition of Lex-GO!

In this special Harry Potter Edition, there are special spell tiles to increase your chances of winning, with the cool Polyjuice potion can be used as any letter.

Expelliarmus tile allows a player to mess up another player’s tiles; Revelio allows a look at any number of tiles in the draw pile before choosing , Depulso banishes one of their tiles from the round; Stupefy freezes another player for 10 seconds.  Plenty of magical mischievous possibilities

When playing you can create crosswords and anagrams as you compete to be the first to get rid of all your letters and if you manage to create the word ‘Snitch’ you automatically win!

The Harry Potter theme is sweet with tiles using the Potter font and having an oldie worldly magical feeling about them.  It’s compact and comes in a cool zip up square sock, great for a last min gift or stocking filler.

Great fun for all the family and a game which is not only easy to play and set up (very important to our household), but also one that does the holy grail of games; engages everyone around the table with a gently competitive feeling.

Suitable for ages 8 plus.

Priced £14.99, available from all good bookshops & shops that sell games.
