Search for local hero in Brighton & Hove

Gary Hart September 4, 2016

Brighton’s Amex Stadium launches search to find its very own ‘local hero’.

American Express Community Stadium

The stadium, home to Brighton and Hove Albion Football Club, is holding its first ever Good Deed of the Year Awards and now the hunt is on to find the city’s unsung community heroes.

Sodexo Prestige Venues & Events (SPV&E), who manage conferencing and events at the Amex, want to hear about any business employee who goes an extra mile to help those around them.

The person judged to be the most outstanding corporate community champion will be treated to an all-expenses paid Christmas party night for them and up to 10 of their colleagues.

Kathy Taylor, sales and marketing manager for SPV&E at the stadium, said: “We want to celebrate the unsung business heroes who help make Brighton such a great place to live, work and visit.

“Heroes come in all shapes and sizes and whether they climb mountains in aid of charity, sponsor local youth teams or look after elderly neighbours, we want to hear about them.

“These people really are the backbone of our community and we would like to pay tribute to them and all the work they do by treating them to a spectacular festive celebration.”

The winner of the Good Deed of the Year Award and their guests will be treated to a three-course festive feast at the stadium, beginning with arrival drinks and including party novelties and an evening of entertainment.

Deadline for entry is Thursday, September 15.
