The Prime Minister attended a Question and Answer session with local people about the measures in the budget statement to help savers and pensioners and took questions on a range on other issues of interest to the audience.

Simon Kirby, MP for Brighton Kemptown and Peacehaven welcomed the Prime Minister and said: “Peacehaven is a great place and I am delighted to have been able to bring the Prime Minister here to meet local residents.”

“The Budget contained some great policies to help pensioners and savers, amongst many other groups, and it was great to hear him explain in more detail exactly what these changes will mean for people here in Brighton Kemptown and Peacehaven. I was particularly pleased that the audience were given an opportunity to ask questions of the Prime Minister.”

Over 100 people packed into the Meridian Centre in Peacehaven for the opportunity to put their question to the Prime Minister.

Simon concluded: “I also took the opportunity of having the Prime Minister in the constituency to highlight, again, my campaign for the funding for a new hospital.”
