After reading about the problems Dan Digby and Michael Finlay the new landlords at the Prestonville Arms in Hamilton Road, Brighton, had experienced since taking over the reigns at the pub just before Pride, Adam Brooks, landlord and owner of Bedford Tavern jumped into action…..
USING Facebook Adam invited people to go to the pub for a midweek get-together to give Dan and Michael a special LGBT+ welcome to Brighton.
Over 75 people from the city’s LGBT+ bars, choirs, networking groups and local residents turned up to show the couple some community support.
The pub was so busy that staff from local LGBT+ venues were press ganged into serving behind the bar.
