New leader announces his team

Councillor Warren Morgan, Leader of the Labour and Cooperative Group on Brighton and Hove City Council has appointed his team of spokespeople for the year ahead.

One addition to the team is Cllr Chaun Wilson who was elected last October in a by-election win in East Brighton when Cllr Craig Turton stood down. She has been appointed spokesperson on Housing Strategy and Equalities.

Warren said:

“Labour now has a team in place that will not only challenge the Green administration over the next twelve months, but which will put forward new ideas that will become the foundations of our manifesto for the council elections in 100 weeks time. I’d invite anyone who shares our Labour and Co-operative values to join our team and help build a winning alternative for 2015.”

Economic Development and Culture: Brian Fitch

Housing Strategy and Equalities: Chaun Wilson

Environment & Transport: Gill Mitchell (spokesperson for  Environment and Deputy Leader for Policy): Alan Robins (spokesperson for  Transport)
