Lesbian Visibility Week – celebrating LGBTQ+ lesbians from the UK and US

To mark Lesbian Visibility Week (which runs until April 26), DIVA Media Group, the publishers of DIVA magazine, have unveiled the Visible Lesbian 100 list, celebrating lesbians from across the UK and US across a wide range of sectors, including business, entertainment and arts, sport, not-for-profit and community.

Supported by leading LGBTQ+ charities, including Stonewall, Kaleidoscope Trust, UK Black Pride, GLAAD, Mermaids and the Peter Tatchell Foundation, the list includes Paralympian Claire Harvey, actor T’Nia Miller, singer/songwriter Joan Armatrading, comedians Susan Calman and Bethany Black, emergency doctor and TV presenter Dr Ronx Ikharia, newsreader Jane Hill, social influencer Char Bailey, model Poppy Dadd, campaigners Chloe Cousins and Ayla Holdom and footballer Casey Stoney along with much loved trailblazers Phyll Opoku-Gyimah, Sue Perkins, Sandi Toksvig and Clare Balding.

From the international list, names include football star Megan Rapinoe, actresses Kate Moennig, Ellen Page and Samira Wiley, as well as singer Hayley Kiyoko, writer/producer Lena Waithe and comedian/host Ellen Degeneres.

The publication of the Visible Lesbian 100 marked the start of Lesbian Visibility Week (April 20-26), which features a diverse range of free online events with evening entertainment, as well as panels, seminars and workshops on topics ranging from career focused masterclasses to wellbeing and resilience from leading LGBTQ+  speakers and experts.
