The Foreign Secretary met with residents at an event in Azaro, a new Indian restaurant on Church Road in Hove. Residents took the opportunity to discuss a variety of issues with the Foreign Secretary, including general Government policy, local issues, as well as the upcoming European election on Thursday May 22. The UK’s response to the kidnapping of nearly 300 schoolgirls in Nigeria was also discussed.

Mike said: “It was great to welcome my colleague William Hague to Hove. Residents were keen to discuss a number of different issues with a senior cabinet minister, particularly with the looming European Elections next Thursday. Securing an in/out referendum is important for a lot of people in Hove and it is only by voting Conservative that this can actually be achieved.”
