Now being released for the fourth year, a portion of the proceeds from Hackney Brewery’s Unicorn Rodeo beer will be donated to Switchboard, the LGBTQ+ helpline that has been giving advice and lending an ear to those who need it for over 45 years.
Along with raising funds for Switchboard, Hackney Brewery has included Switchboard’s helpline number on the label of cans, helping to raise awareness of the vital support that the charity provides 365 days a year.
Stephanie Fuller, Switchboard General Manager says: “Through our listening service, we’ve been supporting LGBTQ+ communities right across the UK, since 1974, with calm words when they are needed most.
“Our trained listening volunteers create a safe space for people that need to have sensitive and non-judgemental conversations on matters relating to sexuality and gender identity. The support of Hackney Brewery will make a real difference to the help we’re able to provide”
Hackney Brewery will first be available exclusively at Hackney’s High Hill Tap from Friday, May 6 with the general release on Monday, May 8.
Unicorn Rodeo is an easy drinking 4% DDH (Double Dry Hopped) Extra Pale Ale with Simcoe, Mosaic & Citra hops for a light and refreshing combo of citrus, mango & grapefruit. Cans will be available to purchase online from the Hackney Brewery webshop.
