This play a true story of bravery and heroism, celebrates an important milestone in women’s history. It explores Constance Lytton’s unique role in the suffragette movement, her personal background and her development into one of the unlikeliest of suffragette icons. It’s also about social conditions and attitudes, and war in a distant country; it’s a love story, and a story of a woman overcoming personal and social barriers – in other words a story that can appeal to and touch everyone, told through moving drama, music and contemporary song.
