Acclaimed Brighton-based Samba Reggae Funk band, Barulho, are holding an Open Session on Thursday 5 March, 7-9pm at Carlton Hill School, for anyone interested in joining,

The band are well known for being lots of fun, highly inclusive, with great music, and the chance to play at plenty of exciting gigs in Brighton and beyond, such as at Brighton Pride, Bestival, Burning The Clocks, Kemptown Carnival, Lewes Bonfire, Funk & Soul Weekender, and in The Spiegeltent at Brighton Fringe. No prior experience necessary!

Clara from Barulho said  “We are a Samba Reggae Funk band based in Brighton. The band blends Afro-Cuban and South American traditional forms with contemporary funk, hip hop and drum & bass. Barulho are running one of our occasional open sessions on Thursday 5 March, 7-9pm. If you’d like to be considered for joining the band, with the chance to play at events such as Brighton Pride, Bestival, Burning The Clocks, Kemptown Carnival, Lewes Bonfire, Funk & Soul Weekender, and in The Spiegeltent at Brighton Fringe, or if you just want to see what it’s like to play with a drumming band, please come along!
