Business volunteers help Brighton Deaf School

Local specialist school for deaf children, Hamilton Lodge, receive a helping hand from a team of volunteers from Allianz Insurance who spent a day helping them decorate.

Hamilton Lodge School and College for Deaf Students is a non maintained special school for the Deaf providing both residential and non-residential places. They take pupils from over 20 local authority areas around the country. They teach and care for deaf pupils aged 4 -19 years.

Ashley Moon from Allianz Insurance, said; “We enjoyed helping last summer and were keen to get involved again. We aren’t professional decorators but we are able and willing to help with paint brush.”

Simon Burgess, Business Manager at Hamilton Lodge, added: “The support we receive from businesses and the local community helps us to focus our resources on the needs and wishes of our residential pupils. Ensuring their childhoods are full of positive memories and helping them to become confident adults.”
