Free Universty Brighton (FUB) has announced a FREE six-module course – An Introduction to Lesbian History with Jane Traies, starting Wednesday, February 24 from 7-9pm and running till Wednesday, March 31.
Part of FUB’s degree level course on Feminism, Gender & Sexuality, this six-week course will see Jane Traies and you consider concepts in lesbian history such as ‘female‘ husbands’; cross-dressing women; romantic friendships and Boston marriages; and changing attitudes to lesbianism in the twentieth century.
Jane Traies is a Research Associate at the Sussex Centre for Cultural Studies and a member of the Sussex Centre for Life History and Life Writing, University of Sussex.
