Web series ‘The Grass Is Always Grindr’ returns!

London-based sexual health clinic 56 Dean Street’s web series The Grass Is Always Grindr returns for a second series, funded by Public Health England‘s (PHE) HIV Innovation Fund.

THE health promotional series, which explores modern gay sex lives, including chemsex, HIV, U=U, porn, sober sex, PrEP and testing, sees handsome closeted boxer Adam (Taofique Folarin) and ‘loud and proud’ Insta-famous Joe (Denholm Spurr) struggle with their romance as Adam tries to balance a HIV diagnosis against his upcoming fight, and PrEP-taking Joe ends up on the chill-out scene.

New characters include 19-year-old DJ Leo (Adonis Jenieco), drag queen club promoter Trish (Richard Watkins), manic chill-out host John-Paul (Alexis Gregory), compassionate porn star Eve (Siân Docksey) and psychosexual therapist Fabian (Richard Unwin).

Made with support from PHE, MAD Trust, MAC AIDS Fund and Impulse London, the series is a sweeping look at gay sexual life in the capital: from The Glory to Heaven, to 56 Dean Street and Chelsea and Westminster Hospital itself.

Written by Patrick Cash, directed by Luke Davies, and produced by Dragonflies Productions (The Chemsex Monologues), and Brown Boy Productions (Soft Lad), with the support of CW+, the charity of Chelsea and Westminster NHS Foundation Trust, series two comprises twelve episodes, released fortnightly on the 56 Dean Street YouTube channel.
