Campfire is a monthly, free, not for profit event presented by the communication agency ditto who invite the public into their studio every month to hear the personal story of someone they think has something interesting to say accompanied by free booze.
This months speaker is Peter Tatchell who will be telling his personal story outlining how he came to dedicate himself to being an active campaigner for human rights and the LGBT community in particular, and the importance of making a stand for what you believe is right.
Peter has been campaigning for equal rights, democracy, LGBT freedom and global justice since 1967. He is the co-founder of the radical gay human rights direct action movement OutRage!.
Alongside Peter’s talk there is a specially curated exhibition presenting a retrospective of OutRage!’s street protests, from the 1990s to the ‘Equal Love’ campaign of the present day, featuring archival photographs by Steve Mayes.
