Police officer sentenced for drink driving

A Surrey Police officer has been convicted at court of drink driving.

PC Matthew Hall, 42, appeared at Crawley Magistrates Court today (October 5) where he pleaded guilty to driving under the influence of alcohol, while off duty.

He was disqualified from driving for 12 months, received a £485 fine, £85 costs and will pay a £45 surcharge.

The offence occurred in Epsom on September 21, 2016.

PC Hall, who is based at Reigate Police Station, is on restricted duties pending the outcome of misconduct proceedings.
