Lorraine Bowen to open the golden envelope at the Handbags

Fresh from her appearances on Britain’s Got Talent, zany comedienne and writer of funny ditties, Lorraine Bowen, will be walking the red carpet at the Golden Handbag Awards on Sunday (21) at the Metropole Hilton.

LORRAINE, was championed in the audition rounds by judge, David Walliams who progressed her directly through to the live semi finals as his Golden Buzzer act.

Sadly, on the live semi final, she was not able to win over Simon Cowell who buzzed her half way through her performance of her space themed song.  Lorraine took no shit from Mr Cowell, and told him: “You really put me off Simon, I’m going to get really cross now.”

Lorraine became an internet sensation following her performance of the Crumble Song earlier in the competition. The number, well-known for years to Brighton audiences moved author adn Coronation Street script writer, Jonathon Harvey, to describe her performance on twitter as “genius”.

Lorraine will be joining Chris Steed from TV’s Gogglebox to announce some of the nominations at this years glittering awards and will be wearing a new polyester creation by Polyarmani especially for her appearance on the red carpet.
