Brighton Kemptown candidate joins resident to present bus petition

Simon Kirby, Conservative Parliamentary candidate for Brighton Kemptown and Peacehaven, yesterday accompanied local resident Barbara Cox to the headquarters of Brighton and Hove Bus Company. The purpose of the visit was to present a petition on behalf of Whitehawk, Manor Farm and Bristol estate residents, regarding the 21 bus service. Over 1,200 signatures have been collected on behalf of residents concerned about the recent changes to the 21 service. The new route does not include the rear of the General Hospital and down Elm Grove and residents have expressed concerns that the changes have had a detrimental effect on various sections of the community especially the disabled and elderly.
