The European Championships are over and now there’s the wait for the new league season to begin. Don’t think there’s no other tournaments out there though. On Saturday July 23 it’s the Pride Diversity Games in Brighton with a major LGBT football tournament taking place.
There’s not just one golf tournament at the Pride Diversity Games in July but two! The Pride Shield and Rainbow Challenge tournaments will take place on Saturday, July 23 at the Hollingbury Golf Course at Ditchling Road in Brighton.
What’s really great about sport is the fact it can be so much fun. It’s not all about stony faces as your team fails to win promotion again or get relegated. The Pride Diversity Games weekend in July will see some serious competition but there’s also some really fun events too.
BLAGSS the local LGBT sports organisation have a dream that one day Brighton will host a major LGBT tournament such as the Gay Games – the Gay Olympics which take place once every four years, where the best and the beginner atheletes from across the world join together to celebrate LGBT sport.
With less than 100 days to go, the countdown to Brighton Pride 2015 is well underway as Pride organisers prepare to deliver the biggest Pride celebrations the city has ever seen. This year promises a citywide celebration as our diverse and spectacular communities come together to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Pride in The City with a wonderful Carnival of Diversity, the first edition of the Pride Diversity Games sponsored by Domestic & General and the ever popular Pride Dog Show.
