The Safety Map, an installation inviting the LGBTQ community to share their experiences of Brighton and Hove, will be at Brighton Dome from August 3-7, coinciding with Brighton Pride.
La Poule is the triumph of self delusion, she’s a dangerously unstable mix of abandoned Norma Desmond, a soupcon of young gifted Streisand some hefty dollops of Little Eddie from Grey Gardens, all folded into the fragile body of a falling apart Minnelli it’s a heady frothy explosive intoxicating stunning slow-mo car crash mix of ego, talent and style collapsing like a soufflé when the oven of reality has been opened too fast.
Valluerca managed the raucous fringe audience well, charming everyone with just a hint of Iberian Menace behind those flashing eyes. She has that wonderfully Spanish mix of dark and light so compounded in the Spanish soul, like Goya eating candy floss of getting your face sliced by las Meninas, Madame Señorita is disturbing & brilliant and will stay with you after the laughter has faded.
This was a Via Dolorosa with trombones. Part triumphant movement, part clown, dangerous and painted and unpredictable lurching forward into the unknown and part monstrously perfect, demanding affirming reclaiming of the streets.

Tunes will be brought to you by DJs Jenny spinning guilty pleasures and electro pop; Kate St Kate Shields spinning 90s nostalgia, drag nonsense and pop; and Jenna spinning New Wave weirdos and 90s nonsense.
ARtFUnSHACK! is a fast moving art show hosted by Evan. Expect eye-catching visuals and tips for making fun stuff out of rubbish. Evan can’t always maintain the role and sometimes slips up. By weaving together video, word play and audience interaction, tales of a queer reality become the glue that binds the papier-mache hammer together.
This is fresh, raw theater, using common clichés and sad tragic lives to spear us with some uncomfortable truths about our empty consumer lives. One of my fringe highlights so far! You will love them and they will love you, unconditionally.
