Police and Crime Commissioner opens new LGBT Community Safety Forum office

Katy Bourne the Police and Crime Commissioner cut the tape to open the new offices of the LGBT Community Safety Forum (LGBT CSF) last week. She was joined by Chief Superintendent Nev Kemp and Peter Kyle the Labour parliamentary candidate for Hove & Portslade. The office is provided free of charge to the LGBT CSF and other groups through a Charity accommodation initiative.

Community Village placed at the heart of the Brighton Pride celebrations

Following feedback from the local community, the Pride Community Village will be placed at the centre of the celebrations on Preston Park in August with local LGBTQI organisations including MindOut, Allsorts, Lunch Positive and LGBT Community Safety Forum playing an important role on the day.
The Pride Community Village with be key to the Pride celebrations and enable the community to connect, engage and support LGBTQI organisations and charities.

First LGBT Community Safety Forum meeting of 2015

The LGBT Community Safety Forum is an independent group of lesbian, gay, bisexual and trans* (LGBT) unpaid volunteers serving the LGBT community in Brighton & Hove.
The Forum are holding their first quartley public meeting in 2015 on Wednesday, February 11, from 7pm at the Queens Hotel, 1-3 King’s Road, Brighton.

Victims of Hate Crime remembered

The LGBT Community Safety Forum hosted the annual Anti Hate Crime Vigil which was opened by the Rev Michael Hydes, on Saturday, October 18. The Vigil was one of many taking place all over the country to mark the three nail bomb attacks that rocked London on April 17, 24 and 30 in 1999.
