Clear out your old IT for free

A new pop up shop is being opened by the city council and its partners to allow people to declutter their old tech in a post-Christmas clear out. Anyone with unwanted tech like computers, laptops, phones, cameras and cables – possibly because they’ve bought or received new equipment over the festive season – can safely dispose of their old items and have them safely and professionally data wiped for free.

Council’s pop up shop a real IT success

Over the last few weeks city residents have donated almost 1.5 tonnes of unwanted tech to help charities and people in the community. Brighton and Hove City Council, and its partners opened a ‘tech take-back pop up shop’ in the city centre allowing people to declutter and safely dispose of their old and unwanted computers, laptops, phones, cameras and other tech.
