February is LGBT+ History Month in the UK, which celebrates LGBTQ+ lives in their full diversity. Each year, Schools OUT sets a different theme and this year it’s Behind the Lens, celebrating LGBTQ+ people’s contribution to cinema and film from behind the lens. You are encouraged to look ‘Behind the Lens’ and listen to LGBTQ+ lived experience.
The protests take place on Thursday, August 4: from 10.30am at Jubilee Library, Brighton; from 1pm at Hove Library; and at 3pm at Woodingdean Library.
Storytimes take place at Jubilee Library, Jubilee St, Brighton BN1 1GE from 10.15am every Tuesday and Thursday during term time plus Wednesday, February 9 and Wednesday February 23.
Drag Queen Story Hour UK and Brighton & Hove City Libraries to come together on Saturday, August 1 from 2pm for a family-friendly and interactive storytime event over Facebook for everyone in the family to enjoy.
