After eight years providing a professional showcase platform for young up and coming performance artists and fashion designers, FRONT ROW Fashion Events launches WearUrArt Charity Shop Design Challenge 2016.

The WearUrArt Challenge has a simple brief: Create an outfit from Charity Shop clothing or objects and/or recycled materials within a budget of only £30.00!

FRONT ROW 2016 is taking the competition nationwide to extrapolate the creative talent from all corners of the UK.

Entrants will become a part of a national drive to re-encapsulate fashion as a statement of individuality and art without any environmental impact.

Previous FRONT ROW design challenges unearthed fine entries from creative talents of all ages, abilities and backgrounds and participants are encouraged to be as outrageous and innovative as they can, using unusual and surprising materials that have been recycled. This is not about consumerism, it is about expression and freedom of thought: Fashion Anarchy starts at WearUrArt.

A panel of sustainable fashion luminaries will judge all entries, and finalists are invited to present their creation in an epic showcase and award ceremony together with music performances and visual installations on Saturday, November 26, 2016 at the iconic De La Warr Pavilion, Bexhill and a further showcase at London”s Southbank Centre in December.

FRONT ROW’s Creative Director Maika Crampton who has curated the show since its inception in 2008, said: “We are really excited to have the fabulous Crystal Hart perform at the show with her entourage of Terrence Higgins Trust supporters who will explode onto the stage of the De La Warr Pavilion with an even more glamorous and outrageous performance than last year to raise awareness for the Trust’s important community work and World Aids Day.

“We are also proud supporters of our other partner charity St. Michael’s Hospice whom we will curate a complete catwalk collection with clothes sourced entirely from their shops.”
