THT Brighton seeks a Health Promotion Specialist BME

Terrence Higgins Trust (THT) Brighton is looking for an enthusiastic and self-motivated health promotion specialist to work in Brighton & Hove, implementing HIV prevention and sexual health services to African and Caribbean Heritage Communities and others at risk of HIV.

The HIV/sexual health charity is looking for someone with a good understanding of the issues relating to HIV infection and poor sexual health and experience of working towards local and national targets and evidence based outcomes. The work is varied and sometimes challenging, so for part of your work you’ll be out and about, delivering targeted outreach health promotion and clinical interventions, working with African and Caribbean heritage community members with the aim of reducing HIV risk and maximising sexual health.

You’ll have energy and enthusiasm, and an in-depth understanding of African and Caribbean heritage communities including both their cultures and networks. This role will require enhanced DBS disclosure.

  • Hours per week: 28 hours
  • Actual Salary: £20,647.20
  • Contract: Part Time Permanent
