Stay Brave announce this year’s Walking Brave will take place online

Graham Robson September 27, 2020

Stay Brave, the charity which helps male and LGTBQ+ survivors of intimate abuse get the help they need and the respect they deserve, has announced this year’s fundraising challenge Walking Brave will take place online from 10am on Monday, September 28 to Sunday, October 4.

Every year, the Stay Brave community comes together to take on a challenge that makes every step count in the aim of breaking down the barriers that survivors face when seeking help and reporting abuse.

The 10 mile Walking Brave challenge is the perfect opportunity for Stay Brave to raise the profile of abuse survivors from under-served communities – LGBTQ+ and men – and raises vital funds to help the charity achieve their mission.

With the ongoing coronavirus situation, Walking Brave 2020 will return as a virtual event so that supporters and survivors can take part no matter where they are in the UK. Stay Brave’s goal is to complete a 10 mile walk between Monday, September 28 and Sunday, October 4 and for each person to raise at least £15 in donations. You can walk the route in one day, or split it over the whole week.

Join Stay Brave, as they share stories and take on the challenge from 10am on Monday, September 28!

Stay Brave says: ‘We wouldn’t be able to continue to drive positive change, to ensure all survivors have the help they need and the respect they deserve without support, so please help us to share the message for #walkingbrave.’
