Out to Swim announce new home pool

Gscene Editorial Team February 13, 2020

Out to swim south has permanently moved to the Prince regent swimming complex in the centre of Brighton, as their new home for swimming. The move brings them to the centre of the city and within short walking distance of Brighton train station with free parking. The standard mixed changing rooms are also Trans friendly.

If you want to go along and see what the swimming sessions look like you can come down and meet them at reception or pay normal entrance and watch the swim from the public lanes. Feel free to ask the Out To Swim team more on the day.

They swim on Mondays 8:30-9:30 pm (with the learn to swim lane, funded by the rainbow fund), Thursdays 7:30-8:30 pm and on Saturdays 5-6 pm every week.

The out to swim polo team (the London Orcas) including members from Brighton Out to swim south recently enjoyed a polo match against the Brighton swimming club polo team.

Out to Swim South was established in 2006 as part of the main London aquatic group. We are a group of sociable LGBTQ+ and allies who swim for fun, fitness or competitions and provide a friendly environment for those who prefer the social aspect of the club, in the Brighton & Hove and Sussex area. Out to Swim South was established in 2006 as part of the main London & newly formedBristol group.

We have 3 sessions a week of which at least 2 our coached.

We all share an enthusiasm to improve with like-minded people and be part of an LGBT inclusive club. Women and men swim inclusive and non-gender specific, we have all ages from the 20s to 60s. Out to Swim South is open to all with a positive attitude. The club is an adult club and those under 18 are not able to participate.
