Trees, the ocean and city streets all feature in five exciting art exhibitions to be mounted from Thursday, October 1 to Wednesday, November 4 during the re-scheduled Brighton Fringe. Each artist will be holding a safely-distanced meet and greet. All the exhibitions are free.
Based at art5 Gallery, 5 Bartholomews, Brighton BN1 1HG, the shows are :
1-7 October: London-based Keng Wai Lee uses flowers, living organisms and birds, and juxtaposes them into something funny.
8-14 October: Jonathan Stewardson captures the mood of popular streets and cities, mainly when they are empty at night.
15-21 October: Marion McConaghie is inspired by the decadence of the Renaissance – her works are full of colour and texture.
22-28 October: Mark Munroe-Preston is drawn to incredible trees and captures them with his camera , then digitally alters them to create drama and beauty.
29 October – 4 November: Caroline Wright’s waves and abstracts are inspired by the ocean and the beach.
