Have you ever heard of KickStarter?

KickStarter is a way in which people are provided the prospect to ‘crowd fund’ a project that they themselves cannot afford. KickStarter is full of diverse and interesting projects including Magic in the making.

Jazz and Georgia have approached the UK’s theatre company Theatre Giant for the opportunity to film and document the behind the scenes goings on of their new play Houdini!

Houdini is a UK and Ireland tour that will be visiting five great cities including Stoke-on-Trent, Swansea, Blackpool, Windsor and Dublin. The story follows the journey of the Houdini brothers, Theo and Harry Houdini, as they enter and compete in the world of show business.

From concept to completion, the brothers took their ideas and shaped them into stage spectaculars and this is what Jazz and Georgia wanted to capture.

So many students leave education knowing only what has been studied in books, but when it comes to the arts there is so much experience to be gained by sitting in and experiencing the real action.

Their documentary will be made up of 8 episodes:

  • The Show
  • The Director
  • Costume Design
  • Production Design
  • Illusion Design
  • Lighting and Sound Design
  • In Rehearsal
  • On Tour

From concept to completion, it is this idea that they really want to capture, showing the highs and lows of everything that has gone into this show to turn it into a success and stage spectacular, showing a breakdown of exactly what is necessary to bring a stage production to life, pulling it off of the paper and onto the stage.

The play stars the beautiful Evanna Lynch (Luna Lovegood from Harry Potter), BAFTA winning actor Stuart Brennan and the handsome Jamie Nichols as Harry Houdini, as well as many more of the UK’s top rising talent.

Jazz and Georgia have come to the gay community for support.

At the moment their KickStarter campaign is running out of time, if they do not find more pledgers to receive their rewards all the money they have raised so far will be lost; taking their opportunity with it.

They need your support to bring Magic in the Making from concept to completion.

Check out the great rewards they have to offer on their KickStarter page with more information about their documentary, Houdini and the roaring 1920’s After Parties.
