Learn to Dance in Brighton with Gay Men’s Dance Company

Returning to Brighton for the Spring term, The Gay Men’s Dance Company are offering two trial dance classes, Learn to Dance (Brighton) on April 20 and 22.

The Gay Men’s Dance Company (GMDC) was founded in September 2015 by Alex Scurr a London-based dancer, dance teacher and choreographer and offers a creative outlet for gay men; a place for them to express themselves in a safe and supportive environment while keeping fit, socialising with friends and learning to dance. They have been running dance classes in Brighton since July 2016.

The point of these classes is not to become a professional dancer, it’s more about gaining confidence in moving, improving rhythm and co-ordination, increasing fitness, strength and flexibility, meeting new people and all while having fun!

GMDC offer a very active social community experience outside of the dance classes, with many opportunities to get involved in events, trips, nights out and performances.

Their new term starts this month. Go along and try a trial session, meet some of the boys and see what they’re all about!

To book a space, email: info@thegmdc.com

There are two trial dates available costing £10 a class:

♦ April 20 from 7pm-8.30pm Learn to Dance (Brighton)
♦ April 22 from 4.30pm-6pm Learn to dance (Brighton)

If you can’t make any of the trial dates, but would still like the opportunity to trial before joining, just email info@thegmdc.com and they’ll try to sort something out for you.
