Drag Race in Southampton

The Titanic in Southampton will be raising money for Cancer Research UK at their Annual Drag Race on September 7.

Hosted by Sonia Marmite the race aims to raise as much money as possible for Cancer Research UK. The money will be used for research and treatment in the local area. Last year they collected £1375, this year they have set their target to be raised at £3,000

THE RULES ARE:

1. If your male you must wear a dress, handbag and wig: If your female you must wear a man’s suit, shirt and tie.

2. Men must wear at least 1 inch heels: Women must wear men’s shoes (no trainers allowed).

3. You must collect sponsorship of at least £50 per person.

All participants will get a certificate on completion of the race.

Sponsorship forms can be obtained from the bar.

The route will take you along Simmel Street into Castle Street then St Michael’s Square and back along Upper Bugle Street.

This is a fun event and there will be prizes for the winners and all participants will get a certificate on completion of the race.

All runners must be in the bar by 15.30pm for photographs.
