Chris Jepson’s ‘The Identity Project’ goes global!

Graham Robson March 3, 2022

With spring just around the corner, photographer Chris Jepson has announced The Identity Project, which explores what it means to identify as a member of the LGBTQ+ community today, is going global with a week’s residency in a gallery in Paris to shoot French portraits for the project.

Do you have LGBTQ+ friends or contacts in France? Chris need participants who can get to Paris between March 27 – 31 to come and sit for him. Help Chris share the reach of this community project beyond the UK shores and share this link with any contacts or networks you have.

Chris said: “When I started this project more than two years ago, before the world had heard of Covid and lockdowns were part of our everyday language, I always envisaged taking it international and building community links far and wide in our global rainbow family.

“I am really excited by this opportunity to shoot images in France and then, at the invitation of the fabulous community gallery Espace Canopy, return in June for an exhibition during Pride month to showcase a new selection of stories from the UK and abroad under one roof.

“Now more than ever we need to share the message of love so please do help me spread the word.”
