2014 SAW RECORD attendances at the award winning event which is acknowledged internationally as the UK’s biggest and best Pride.

Visitors came from all over the world to celebrate and campaign with the LGBT community in Brighton and Hove, their families and friends.

Major improvements to the Pride Festival gates reduced queues on Preston Park, tent sizes were increased providing more capacity under canvas, whilst the inaugural Pride Village Party was hailed a safer and more enjoyable event by participants, businesses, Brighton & Hove City Council and the emergency services. Chief Superintendent, Nev Kemp, the Divisional Commander of Brighton Police said the Pride Village Party was a “huge success”.

MOST IMPORTANTLY, Brighton Pride 2014 smashed its fundraising target, raising £64,578.00 so far for local LGBT/HIV organisations, thanks to sales of Pride Festival and Pledge Wristbands for the Pride Village Party and the generous support and fundraising efforts of local businesses, volunteers, partners and sponsors.
