Cousins and Chase to host the Sussex Beacon’s second annual Charity Ball

Actress Lorraine Chase will be wafting in from Luton to host the Sussex Beacon’s The Halloween Horror Show on Saturday, October 31 along with Olympic Gold Medal Figure Skating Champion Robin Cousins.

The pair will play the roles of the film director and director’s assistant in a night of entertainment.

After last year’s success with a live dinner-show performance of The Rocky Horror Show, this year’s event will have a haunted Hollywood theme and will take place at the Grand Hotel on Brighton Seafront.

Lorraine and Robin will narrate the show which will include live song and dance performances, with a cast from the Brighton Academy. Guests will enjoy a sparkling wine reception, three-course meal, silent auction, main auction and best-‘fancy’- dressed competition all to raise money for local HIV charity, the Sussex Beacon.

The Beacon supports people living with HIV in Sussex to lead independent and healthy lives. Many of those people come from Brighton which has the highest number of people living with HIV outside of London.

Co-host Robin Cousins, said; “The Sussex Beacon are a huge part of the Brighton and Hove landscape, and as a local I am very happy to co-host this years The Halloween Horror Show with the fabulous Lorraine Chase. The charity does incredible work in and around our community and annual events like this support and celebrate their continuing efforts. We’ll do our best to make sure the ghouls and gals who attend have a devilishly good time”.

Lorraine Chase, added; “l was chuffed to be asked to take part in The Halloween Horror Show for The Sussex Beacon. Co-hosting with the amazing Robin Cousins will be a treat indeed! I look forward to seeing you all there. We need your support”.

The charity is working with leading entertainment design agency the E3 Group to produce the fundraising event. The E3 Group helped produce Brighton Pride in 2013.
