Terremoto (meaning ‘earthquake’ in Spanish) is an empowering, beat-driven, Reggaeton female anthem. Penned by Nathalie, the song is about a woman warning her possessive partner that she needs her freedom, or she’ll turn the tables on him. She sings the powerful refrain, ‘Ten cuidado / Que puedo hacerte daño’ (‘be careful, because I can hurt you’)!
Featured in the song’s breakdown are the raspy vocals of Ecuadorian artist Ignacio Arellano, who Nathalie invited to sing on the track. Speaking on the collaboration, Nathalie says: “I really wanted the guy in this song to get a chance to respond. My good friend, Ignacio Arellano, had the perfect vocals for it. It was also high time to put my language skills to use in my music! I’m thrilled about my first Spanish language release.”
