PREVIEW: Judy: The Songbook of Judy Garland

An all-star cast joins Judy Garland’s daughter, Lorna Luft in this remarkable tribute to a true legend.

JUDY Garland dominated stage and screen for five decades, boasting critically acclaimed performances in A Star is Born and The Wizard of Oz as well as a renowned film partnership with Mickey Rooney in the golden age of MGM.

Judy remains the youngest recipient of the Cecil B DeMille award for Lifetime Achievement in Motion Pictures and was posthumously awarded a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award.  In 1999, the American Film Institute placed her in the 10 Greatest Female Stars in the history of American Cinema.

Now, by arrangement with the Judy Garland Estate, and with the official blessing of her family, you will be taken on a magical journey through the songs that established Judy Garland as show business royalty.

The Songbook of Judy Garland is led by Judy’s daughter Lorna Luft who will be joined by West End musical theatre stars Louise Dearman (Wicked, Evita) and Ray Quinn (Legally Blonde, Dirty Dancing).

The show includes never before seen film clips and interviews together with irresistible classic hit songs such as Meet Me in St Louis,Easter Parade, Over The Rainbow, Get Happy, Zing! Went the Strings of My Heart, The Man That Got Away, The Trolley Song, Rock-A-Bye-Your-Baby and The Trolley Song.

Creative director for the show is the renowned choreographer Arlene Phillips, well-known until recently as a judge on Strictly Come Dancing.
