PREVIEW: Diversity Choir to raise funds for Positive East

Diversity Choir to perform Fauré’s Requiem at a World AIDS Day Concert raising money for Positive East.

ON World AIDS Day, Saturday, December 1, The Diversity Choir will sing the Requiem by the French composer Gabriel Fauré, featuring some of the most beautiful melodies he ever composed.

Lead by musical director Jan Rautio, they will be joined for the evening by the West London Sinfonia, and soprano Sarah Jane Lewis.

The concert will be a celebration of life, love, family, and remembrance of all people affected by AIDS and HIV.

100% of the proceeds from ticket sales will be donated to Positive East, a London-based AIDS charity who offer support services to those living with HIV.

In addition to Fauré’s Requiem, the 60-strong choir will perform works by Holst, Erasure, The Beatles, as well as from the musical Rent.
